Let it snow!

Our first winter storm is here!  Merry Christmas!

It is expected to accumulate to about 8 to 12 inches.

This is a big treat here in the south.  We haven’t seen this much snow in years!

What a great way to begin the first day of our Christmas break!

Beautiful! Looks like a bit of fun. We have a similar covering but I’m at work and not near a camera. Younger Brother lives in Virginia and got nearly 2 feet of the stuff!

  2. Wow! How beautiful!
It’s almost time for us to search for snow. It never comes to us. LOL!

  3. Naming snow people only makes it worse when the sun comes out.

    Nice gloves and hats.

note: I liked the photos from Salem lots. hee hee!

    • Thanks for the comments!

The snow is still on the ground with an icy glaze over top. Perfect for going down hills super fast.

S.Le: I like snow and less than a foot is plenty for me. Two feet is way too much!
Jean: That’s a shame you never get snow. We have 2 or 3 snow falls a year at the most. I wish it were more.
planetross: I’ll never forget when the little girl says, “Oatmeal?”, when the kids suggest names for their snowman in “Frosty the Snowman”.

  4. I’ll bet your son is LOVING the snow. Especially on the first day of break. 8 to12 inches is a good snow! We got 8 inches here about two weeks ago. I don’t like to drive in it but it sure makes it pretty outside for sure! 😀

  5. Gary: I also don’t like to drive in the snow, but shoveling it is worse! IMO

  6. Merry Christmas!

It’s 12:40 here, so let me be the first to say “Have a great Christmas!”
I’m glad you lifted my “about me section” and made me click on your fledgling blog. hee hee!

Merry Christmas! again … unless you’ve got gingerbreadmen … then I’m envious.

    • planetross: I’m glad I lifted your “about me section”, too. I have to admit, I give you all the credit for my blogging inspiration. Thanks for being a faithful reader. 🙂

      Merry Christmas Ross!
